Traditional nitrogen balance techniques overlook the dynamic nature of amino acid metabolism—the continuous breakdown, resynthesis, and recycling that sustain protein balance.

Stable isotope tracers transform amino acid research from static concentration data into a real-time view of metabolism.

By labeling amino acids with 13C or 15N, we can follow their oxidation, transamination, and recycling across tissues—revealing how diet, disease, or therapeutic intervention reshape amino acid pathways. These insights provide the mechanistic clarity needed for confident clinical and regulatory decisions.

Trusted by Leaders in Metabolic Research

From discovery to submission, we’ve earned the confidence of industry innovators through precision, speed, and scientific depth.

They’ve been very consistent… the sample analysis and data has always been timely and high quality.

There are academic labs that do it as well, but they’re much harder to engage and contract with.

I think they’re extremely organized and very on top of sample management. All the interactions that I’ve had with them have been great.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this non-radioactive and patient-friendly?

Yes. 13C and 15N tracers are stable (non-radioactive) and safe for use in both preclinical and clinical studies. These tracers can be administered orally or intravenously, allowing repeated measurements of amino acid metabolism without radiation exposure.

Are methods inspection-ready?

Yes- all assays are performed in our GLP-compliant, CLIA certified laboratories. For clinical studies, assays can be further enhanced to include specific method validations, bioanalytical plans, multiple level QA reviews and a final report that is suitable for regulatory submission.

How fast can we start?

Typical start timeline: protocol design; kit build and site start-up are expedited. We provide early consultation to align tracer selection and sampling schedules with your study goals.

Who will I work with?

You’ll collaborate directly with our senior isotope scientists—the same experts who design, monitor, and interpret results for our pharmaceutical and academic partners. We stay hands-on throughout every stage of your study.
