Test is a cost effective, non-invasive, highly accurate
15-minute test to detect Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
infection. Importantly, the Urea Breath Test detects
active infection, and in
contrast to blood serology tests, doesn’t produce
false positives results due to previous infection. The
Urea Breath Test detects very low levels of H. pylori
colonization and assesses the entire gastric mucosa.
This patient friendly breath test provides definitive
answers to rule out H. pylori infection.
The test is ideal for investigation of gut pain in patients
that have previously undergone an endoscopy, screening
bariatric surgery candidates, and to confirm the outcome
of H. pylori eradication therapy.
Getting started using the breath test is easy:
No cost to your practice
Urea Breath Test kits can be ordered by calling
customer service toll-free at 866-302-1998. An
inventory of kits will be placed in your office
at no charge. After administrating the test, the
breath specimens are sent to Metabolic Solutions
using the prepaid US Priority Mail envelope found
in each kit.
Fast and reliable analysis
Metabolic Solutions analyzes the breath samples and
reports the results by fax within 24 hours of sample
receipt.
Receive reimbursement
Your practice bills the patients insurance for the administration
of the test under CPT code 83014. Metabolic Solutions
is reimbursed for the test kit and analysis under CPT
code 83013. Your practice never receives an invoice
from us.
