Breath specimens are easy to collect and are extremely robust samples that require no special handling. Samples can withstand the temperature fluctuations of winter and summer shipping. Samples should be sent to Metabolic Solutions immediately after completion of the test. When preparing to send samples just follow these simple steps:
Urea Breath Test
- Check to make sure the white mouth piece caps are securely in place. You know they are properly seated when you hear them snap into place.
- Completely fill out the requisition form.
- Place the samples and requisition form in the prepaid Priority mail envelope and send it as you would any other U.S. mail.
All Other Tests
- Make sure that the caps for the glass tubes are secure but not over tightened.
- Completely fill out the requisition form.
- Place all the tubes back in the slots in the original box along with the completed test requisition form. Secure the box with the enclosed security seal.
- Drop the prepaid test box into any mailbox.
